Purpose of role
Working within our product function, you’ll be responsible for supporting the wider function on various tasks whilst spending valuable time shadowing to learn key skills. You’ll receive thorough mentoring from our Product Lead, Senior Product Managers and other roles across the product function, as well as have the opportunity to make a
genuine contribution to a range of tasks. This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is eager to learn and build on some basic product management skills which they can take with them to their next role. You’ll be encouraged at every turn, well-supported and provided with exposure to a wide range of tasks. You’ll also be supported to deliver one or more individual projects that will develop your skills and provide tangible work examples for your CV and future interviews.

Responsibilities
• Undertaking a variety of tasks as instructed by your team;
• Attending key ceremonies for your team and the wider product function, such as stand-ups, sprint planning, design authority and go-to-market planning meetings.
• Supporting the team’s product manager to prepare assets, documents and presentations for these meetings.
• Documenting user stories, tasks and bugs to support our Agile development process.
• Supporting product managers and UX researchers to conduct research into users, suppliers and the wider market, to help our teams understand the potential value of features they propose to build.
• Testing and quality assurance of features prior to release.
• Leading engineers and designers to deliver small, discrete projects such as bug fixes or UX-enhancements.
• Delivering an individual project such as identifying suitable suppliers for a check, producing a product requirements document for a proposed feature or developing a user journey map.

In addition, we are looking for the following:

• Understanding of the role of a product manager within a cross-functional team.
• Understanding of the principles of Agile development.
• Good attention to detail, and an ability to produce clear and succinct written documentation.
• Ability to analyse information, draw logical conclusions, and present well-supported recommendations or proposals.
• An ability to multi-task and prioritise work effectively.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Experience with tools used in the product development process, such as Shortcut, Jira, Figma/Figjam, Miro.
• Prior experience in a start-up in any capacity would be an advantage, but not a requirement.

REPORTING TO: Dedicated Supervisor
Hours per week: 35 hours
Duration: 12 weeks
Commencing: June 2025
Remote/Office/Hybrid: Remote in UK or Edinburgh HQ
SALARY: £26,000 pa
