On 28th September 2024, the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow came alive with celebration as professionals and organisations gathered for The Black Scottish Awards 2024 (TBSA2024). Proudly sponsored by JP Morgan Chase, Black Professionals United Kingdom, Barclays, Scottish Enterprise, Black Scottish Adventurers, BlackRock, The Scottish National Investment Bank, Morgan Stanley, Fotopool, STV, Sportscotland and RSPB, the event recognized outstanding achievements within Scotland’s Black community and its allies.

The evening began with an inspiring speech by Enoch Adeyemi, setting the tone with the Yoruba proverb “Ise ni Ogun Ise”—“Hard work is the antidote to poverty.” Guests were reminded of the value of resilience and unity as they celebrated diversity in all its forms.

The awards honoured individuals and organisations excelling in their fields, with the Professional Rising Star category spotlighting Babatunde Adetutu as a proud winner. Beyond the ceremony, the event provided powerful networking opportunities, fostering connections that will drive future collaboration and growth.

From cultural performances and a delicious three-course meal to interactive photo booths and a vibrant 360-degree camera, the evening balanced elegance with cultural vibrancy. It concluded with live music and dancing, leaving guests inspired.
