Purpose of role
The 6-week placement can be based in our Aberdeen, Edinburgh or Glasgow offices. This role will offer an excellent opportunity to gain practical legal work experience in a variety of practice areas. These may include Real Estate, Corporate & Commercial, Personal & Family, Litigation and Banking & Insolvency. This uniquely designed programme will develop the successful candidate’s legal knowledge, competencies key for a legal career as well as developing a network within the legal sector
Responsibilities
- Undertaking legal task as instructed by your team
- Drafting legal documents, client letters and emails
- Project support
- Legal research
- Attending client meetings with colleagues
What we’re looking for
- Candidates in their 2nd year of the Scots Law LLB or 1 st year of the graduate LLB (or above)
- Communicates in a confident, clear and relaxed way, friendly and approachable.

- Enthusiasm, a self-motivated and driven.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Comfortable working as part of a team but also able to take ownership and perform individual tasks.
- Eager to learn and support their colleagues.

REPORTING TO: Dedicated supervisor
Hours per week: 35 hours
Duration: 6 weeks
Commencing: 17 June 2024
Remote/Office/Hybrid: Hybrid
Internship Site: Aberdeen, Edinburgh or Glasgow
SALARY: £420 per week
