About Street Post @ BBC Scotland
Street Post is BBC Scotland’s Post Production Team based in Pacific Quay Glasgow, we are currently looking for a Post Production Assistant to join our team.
The Post team works closely with Production, Editors and Dubbing Mixers across a wide range of programmes such as Sportscene, River City, The Weakest Link, Question Time and TRNSMT, delivering to BBC Scotland, BBC Alba, BBC Network, Worldwide and online.
Purpose of Placement
The placement will offer the chance to get involved in the post-production of television content for BBC Scotland. It will provide an excellent opportunity to develop the successful candidate’s knowledge, experience and skills within the BBC, with a focus on the organisation and delivery of post-production services, content acquisition, delivery and broadcast.
Responsibilities
The placement will be adapted to the successful candidate’s strengths and areas of interest which could range from;
- Edit Assistant
- Ingesting
- Outside Broadcasts
- Quality Checking
- Coordinating and liaising with clients/ Production Teams
- Booking jobs and scheduling staff.
What we are looking for
Someone that is interested in the production and delivery of television content in Scotland, who is interested in storytelling and in team work and who has a positive, can-do attitude and is keen to learn while working with a small, friendly and collaborative team.
This placement may involve working evening and weekends.

HOURS PER WEEK: 35
Duration: 12 weeks
Commencing: April 2024.
Remote/Office/Hybrid: Office – To get the most out of this opportunity this role will be based in the Glasgow Pacific Quay Head office
TRAINING BURSARY: £21,085 gross per annum pro rata
