About the Internship
Working within our Risk and Compliance team, you’ll be responsible for supporting the wider function on various tasks whilst spending valuable time shadowing to learn key skills. You’ll receive thorough mentoring from our Senior Risk and Compliance Manager and other roles across the Risk and Compliance Team, as well as have the opportunity to make a genuine contribution to a range of tasks. This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is eager to learn and build on some basic development skills which they can take with them to their next role. You’ll be encouraged at every turn, well-supported and provided with exposure to a wide range of tasks.

Main responsibilities include:
● Support the review of Amiqus data protection policies and procedures, making
suggestions and improvements where needed
● Support on internal and external gap analysis projects
● Support on Amiqus data protection audits
● Gain valuable experience in various audits (GDPR/DPA related projects, ISO27001,
NIST and Trust framework)
● Participate in meetings and contribute to discussions related to our risk and
compliance space

About you

● Previous experience in auditing would be advantageous
● Genuine and keen interest within risk & compliance

enthusiastic, organised and methodical
● Be friendly, approachable and comfortable collaborating with colleagues and
stakeholders
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Our interview process
We think it’s important to have an open and transparent interview process so that you
have a clear understanding of what to expect. The process might vary slightly depending
on the role type or team you apply to join but it usually goes as follows:
● Internal review of applications
● An initial chat about the role with our People and Engagement manager
● A more structured interview with our Senior Risk & Compliance Manager and one
other team member
● An informal chat with some other team members about the opportunity
● Role offer

● Onboarding welcome and process kick off with support across the team

REPORTING TO: Senior Risk and Compliance Manager 

Hours per week:  35 hours  

Duration: 12 weeks  

Commencing: June 2024 

Remote/Office/Hybrid: Remote in UK or Edinburgh HQ

SALARY: £22,000 pa
